WooHoo!!

FINALLY leaving Baltimore! Got the Jeep hooked up to the back of the Wiener Bagel and will be leaving here in about 30 minutes or so. Will have pics up next time we have internet access. Planning on stopping in Columbus, OH, but that could change like the direction of the wind. All I know is that we both are looking forward to getting out of Baltimore!!

A Few More Interior Shots

A Little Further Along...

It's looking a little better. Joyce did a TON of work yesterday and today. I sealed the roof (didn't need it, but it made a noticeable difference in the inside temp!) The roof is aluminum with a thin coat of fiberglass over it. There were some small cracks in the fiberglass so the elastomeric rubberized roof coating helped fill these cracks in. We are getting closer to getting it done enough for the trip out.

Still have to paint the front lower part black (behind the bumper) and the door is going to be all black as well, but that might have to wait until we get to Indiana before that gets done. Need to mount the tow bar to the jeep and do a ton more before we go and we still have the house stuff that needs to be moved to storage! So the next couple of days is going to be a little hectic for us, but will hopefully get a lot accomplished.

Heres some pics for today!

Painted!!

It's late and dark, but you get the idea of what it looks like. Still have the roof to do and some other minor exterior work to do. Planning on painting the bottom black and doing some pin striping, but after that, the outside will be good to go. Many more pics to come!

More Shots Of Interior And Jeep

Dubbed the Weinerbagle II (Weinerbagel I was a 1973 Winnebago which is where the name came from).

Our First Post!

This is our first blog post, so there will be a lot of catching up. As many may know, we currently reside in Baltimore and are moving to North Dakota!! It is a move that we are both excited about! Some think we are crazy for actually wanting to move to North Dakota. It sounds like something that one would do drunk, on a bet. We will both be updating this blog, so you may notice a difference in writing style and a difference in the pictures.

We are going to start off with the motorhome. Many have heard about it. A few have seen it. It is front wheel drive and is titled as a Toranodo and is a 1980. It has a 455 Rocket Olds. engine and is all aluminum. We got it from Mike and Linda in Pennsylvania. We had put an post on Craigslist in the wanted section looking for a cheap motorhome that runs and that may need a little work. I got an email from Mike and Linda saying they had what we were looking for. It was a little rough around the edges, but they said it ran great. We got got the pictures of it and thought it was exactly what we were looking for. It needed paint!! In fact, the outside was growing with moss! We went to look at it and fell in love. It needed a little work here and there, but it was oddball enough for us. Couldn't find anything like it on the net, anywhere. It was manufactured in Canada and at some point was brought to the US and titled here. Guarantee we won't see another one on the road! It is unique to say the least. I figured that it was a few good days of work to get it in a condition where we wouldn't get turned away from a campground. We are on our 7th day of working on it between rain storms.

We finally got it painted today. (will post pics tomorrow as it was 10pm when we got done and too dark to get good pics!). Joyce got a lot of the interior things done today also! It is turning out to be quite the conversation piece!! People think we are crazy, but for the price and the little amount of work needed for it, we are happy and that's all that matter. Both Duke and Wini love it and keep telling us to get the new cushions in it.

Mike and Linda are moving also and were trying to downsize their fleet, so we bought a Jeep from them also. It is a 1975 CJ5. Has a 304 in it. Brakes are frozen and needs a fuel filter to run, but all in all, it's a great looking rig. It is something else we both have wanted and the right price. Posting a couple of pics when we were getting it on the roll back.

Anyway, keep checking back for more updates. We are not going to post plans for our trip as they seem to change minute by minute.
